Côte-des-Neiges

Côte-des-Neiges is one of the most cosmopolitan areas of Montreal.

With its predominantly immigrant population and ethnocultural diversity, Côte-des-Neiges is a microcosm of Montreal today.

Côte-des-Neiges is one of the city’s most cosmopolitan neighbourhoods, its ethno cultural diversity reflecting the make-up of modern-day Montreal. It is home to a large immigrant population giving the area its unique character.

Côte-des-Neiges might also be called a “student district,” given its proximity to the campus of Université de Montréal and its affiliate schools (the Polytechnique and the HEC Montréal). The area abounds in cafés and restaurants that are popular with students. The many ethnic shops and restaurants invite you to take a trip around the world just by crossing the street.

Côte-des-Neiges is at the foot of Mount Royal, giving you easy access to nature. Bus #11 on Côte-des-Neiges Road will take you there along Remembrance Road. Mount Royal Park offers a wide range of outdoor activities: hiking, cross-country skiing, biking, and skating on Beaver Lake.

Well served by public transit, Côte-des-Neiges has no fewer than eight metro stations within its territory.
